Teen Safe Driving FairSafe driving is no accident. In cooperation with the Trauma Research Education Foundation and the Auto Club of Southern California, Supervisor Pam Slater-Price presented a County proclamation at the Teen Driver Safety Fair.

Slater-Price hosts a forum for small business ownersTo stimulate the economy and spur job creation, Supervisor Pam Slater-Price has hosted a series of forums for small business owners. "Doing Business With Your Local Government" workshops connect vendors with purchasing agents from the County of San Diego and other governmental agencies. 


The County Administration Building supported the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign by lighting the building lights red on February 5th for the entire month. The association encourages women to wear red clothing and accessories to educate the public on women’s risk of cardiovascular disease.

Vice Chairwoman Pam Slater-Price has supported the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign for years. Many of her health initiatives have encouraged a healthier lifestyle by quitting smoking, eating right and exercising regularly – all aims of Go Red.


Vice Chairwoman Pam Slater-Price welcomed nearly 200 attendees, including local leaders, to celebrate the grand opening for the new, state-of-the-art “green” San Elijo Nature Center on January 31. The two-story building includes interactive displays and high-tech exhibits that allow visitors to experience the County’s watershed firsthand, as well as learn about the lagoon’s ecosystem.

Slater-Price cut the ribbon to the new nature center along with event speakers, Renee Bahl (immediate left), Director for the County Parks and Recreation Department, and Doug Gibson (immediate right), the San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy's Executive Director/Principal Scientist.

Supervisor Pam Slater-Price was joined by her husband, Hershell, on January 6 as she was sworn into office by newly-elected San Diego City Attorney Jan Goldsmith for a fifth time to serve on the San Diego County Board of Supervisors. During the same meeting, the supervisor was also nominated and elected to serve as vice chairwoman this year.
