San Diego North Chamber of Commerce this month celebrated the opening of spacious new offices on Rancho Bernardo Road. Supervisor Pam Slater-Price delivered the keynote speech.
In her remarks, the Supervisor said:
The San Diego North Chamber of Commerce has come a long way since 2009, when Debra Rosen took over as CEO.
Debra came on board with an ambitious agenda and a Rolodex chock-full of valuable names and telephone numbers.
Look what can happen when Debra picks up the phone.
These offices are a far cry from the old ones. They are modern and spacious and well-equipped for meetings and conferences, in person or on-line. Committee meetings can be held right here instead of at rented space in hotels.
Under Debra’s leadership, the chamber has become a regional force on policy issues. The names and affiliations of her board members show that this is an organization that means business.
Once dominated by Rancho Bernardo residents, the chamber’s board today includes voices from around the county.
To every board and staff member of this organization, thank you for your hard work and commitment to economic development. Your efforts pay dividends to the business community, to families and to the economic health of the region.
